The Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mr Jagat Parkash Nadda and Punjab Government should review and reconsider its decision of opening of All India Institute of Medical Sciences ( A.I.I.M.S. ) Hospital at Bhatinda . During the regime of Former Prime Minister of India Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee the policy opening of Clusters of A.I.I.M.S. in different States was carved out and Six Clusters were allocated to different States . In 2004-2005 , I communicated through Letter to the Former Chief Minister of Punjab Capt Amrinder Singh to take up the matter with then then U.P.A. Government to open a cluster of A.I.I.M.S. at newly constructed Hospital in Jalandhar at Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences ( P.I.M.S. ) in Doaba Region near Jalandhar to cater Doaba and Malwa Region which will certainly lessen the Burden of P.G.I. Chandigarh . The new cluster of A.I.I.M.S. should be constructed in the heart of Punjab near by Jalandhar .
