I pay my glowing tributes to Shaheed Udham Singh Kamboj on his Death Anniversary as on 31 st July 1940 he kissed the Gallows of Death . He was a revolutionary and freedom fighter belonging to the Ghadar Party best known for assassinating Michael O' Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab in India, on 13 March 1940. The assassination was in revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919.

I SALUTE THE ARMY JAWAN'S WHO HAD LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES DURING KARGIL WAR FOR THE SUCCESS OF OPERATION VIJAY ..........................Kargil Vijay Diwas, named after the success of Operation Vijay. On this day, 26 July 1999, India successfully took command of the high outposts which had been lost to Pakistani intruders. The Kargil war was fought for more than 60 days, ended on 26 July and resulted in the loss of life on both the sides. The war ended with India regaining control of all the occupied territory, and hence establishing status quo ante bellum. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26 July every year in honour of the Kargil War's Heroes. This day is celebrated in the Kargil - Dras sector and the national capital New Delhi, where the Prime Minister of India, pays homage to the soldiers at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate every year.Functions are also organized all over the country to commemorate the contribution of the Armed forces.

यह समारक,  जिसका नाम "एकता स्थल" है,   उस माधोपुर पुल्ल के बिलकुल समीप है जहा से डाक्टर श्यामा प्रशाद मुख़र्जी 11 मई 1953  को चल कर गए I दिल्ली के प्रसिद्ध शिल्प्कार श्री राम सुतार ने "एकता स्थल" पर स्थित डाक्टर श्यामा प्रशाद मुख़र्जी की सजीव सी दिखने वाली 18  फुट ऊंची प्रतिमा का निर्माण किया I  इस समारक में एक फोटो गैलरी है जिसमे डाक्टर मुख़र्जी के जीवन सम्बंधित दुर्लभ  फ़ोटोये  लगी हुई है I  इस समारक "एकता स्थल" को बनाने में 6  महीने का समय लगा I  एकता सथल को  20  मार्च 2010  को आदरणीय श्री मोहन भागवत जी, सरसंघचालक , राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के कर कमलों से,  श्री लाल कृष्ण आडवाणी  जी, पूर्व उप प्रधानमंत्री तथा उस वक्त राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष भाजपा श्री नितिन गडकरी जी की उपस्थिति में, राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया गया I  उस वक्त एक रैली भी  हुई जिसमे लाखों की संख्या में लोक पहुंचे I  आज डाक्टर मुख़र्जी के जनम दिवस पर उनको मेरा शत: शत: नमन I

जब 2007  में अकाली भाजपा की सरकार आई तो मैने पूर्व मुख्यामंत्री,  सरदार प्रकाश सिंह बादल जी को माननीय आडवाणी जी की डाक्टर श्यामा प्रशाद मुख़र्जी की याद में एक  समारक बनाने की इच्छा बताई तो बादल साहिब ने आत्म विभोर होकर कहा कि " मेरा अहोभाग्य " और समारक को बनाने की जुमेवारी मुझको सौंप दी, मेरे पास उस वक्त भाजपा विधायकदल व्  स्थानीय निकाय मंत्री की जुमेवारी थी I
