SUBJECT: - SUGGESTIONS FOR THE UNION RAILWAY BUDGET 2016-2017 FOR JALANDHAR CANTT RAILWAY STATION

Dear Sir,

                     With reference to Letter dated 22-1-2015 from D.R.M. Ferozepur Northern Railway, I am forwarding you the following suggestions for your active consideration and allocating of adequate Funds as earlier I had forwarded suggestions / proposal for Jalandhar City Railway Station. 

JALANDHAR CANTT RAILWAY STATION

(a)                    Jalandhar Cantt is the busiest Railway Station at present from where most of the Trains coming from West, South, and East touch this Station while on their route to Katra, Jammu Tawi, Udampur, Katra and this Railway Station is known as By Pass to Jammu and Kashmir and from Jammu and Kashmir to other parts of the country. .

(b)                   It is requested that 24x7 Pantry Kitchen be available with food and Snacks , Similarly new Waiting Hall and new Waiting Rooms be constructed at Jalandhar Cantt Railway Station ..

(c)                   As the need of time is of extending the Shelter shed on both sides of the Platform No 1 and 2/3 keeping in mind the winter, summer and Monsoon Season.

(d)                   It is requested to install fresh R.O. system for safe Drinking Water for the Passengers. It is requested for construction of Wall on the side of Platform No 2/3 for the safety and security of the Passengers during Night. It is requested for construction of Urinals on Platform No 2/3.  It is requested to enhance the number of Reservation Counters and Ticket Counters.

(e)                    As most of the Trains touch Jalandhar Cantt Railway Station in the Night , It is requested that a new Shuttle between Phagwara-Jalandhar Cantt-Jalandhar City-Kartarpur be introduced which should run after one hour up and down for the benefit of the Passengers .      It is requested for beautification of the Platform more LED / CFL Light Fittings be installed. It is requested that the Railway Parking space be increased keeping in mind the rush of the vehicles in coming Days.      It is requested to allocate funds for the Railway Colony of Jalandhar Cantt.

(f)                    It is requested that new Trains up and down from Amritsar-Mumbai and Mumbai-Amritsar Daily , Amritsar- Chennai and Chennai-Amritsar daily , Amritsar- Vishakhapatnam and Vishakhapatnam –Amritsar ( Heera Kund Express ) frequency be made daily , Jalandhar City-Katra and Katra –Jalandhar City Passenger train be restored which used to run during trial few months back . The number of Coaches of Amritsar- Haridwar and Haridwar- Amritsar Jan Shatabdi Express be increased.

Subject:-    Suggestions in regard to Jalandhar for making provision in  the   2016-2017          Union  Railway Budget

                   In response to the letter dated 22-01-2016 from Divisional                Railway Manager, Ferozpur (Punjab) seeking suggestions in regard       to making provisions in the forthcoming Union Railway Budget for     improvement in Jalandhar, I hereby give the suggestions which          are as follows:-

1.      My constituency Jalandhar -35 has been crisscrossed by Railway      lines by 7           places.  There is dire need of ROB/ RUB's to connect        the different areas           namely , (1)Bashirpura Railway crossing, (2)   Guru Nanakpura Railway      crossing ,(3) Ladowali road Railway   crossing, (4) Ladhewali Railway crossing,        (5) Dakoha Railway      crossing , (6)  Dhanowali Railway crossing and (7) Guru   Gobind       Singh Avenue Railway crossing.

2.      Keeping in view the increase in the influx of passengers at        Jalandhar   Railway Station there is dire need to open the second          entry of the railway     station from the goods shed side i.e.  Mall        Godam sides.

3.      The  parking area of the Jalandhar Railway station need to be re-      planed and           multi level car parking should be built as        Jalandhar Railway Station has           ample place to accommodate       the same.

4.      The  width of the road going through the Railway Quarters      touching           Bashirpura and Guru Nanakpura road from Gobindgarh mohalla need to be            doubled keeping in view the increase in the   vehicular  traffic.

5.      The most of the Railway Quarters near railway station Jalandhar      are  in a           delapilated condition and  are lying  vacant. There is       need to      re-plan the           area and the said area has a          commercial value and same can be           exploited commercially to    have increase in the revenue of railways.

6.      There is a open drain of Jalandhar Railways going along Railway       colony no. 1, i.e. back side railway Quarters and GRP Police         Station and  touching the           boundary wall of Mohalla Gobindgarh which gives foul smell though           intermentaly covered with CC       slabs. There is need to lay underground sewerage  in place of it.

7.      There are no urinals  on  Platform No. 2 and 3, the provision of the same may kindly be made.

8.      There is no passage connecting Sant Nagar to the road going  from Railway           Station Jalandhar  to Sant Nagar crossing and onward.    The passage to Sant           Nagar which is a residential locality may        kindly be given at the time of re-          planning the area of dilapilated    Railway Quarters.

9.      The  elevators connecting railway platforms no. 1,2, and 3 may be   constructed to fecilitate easy passage to the passengers.

          I hope  due consdiration will be given to the afore said    suggestions and           neccesary provision will be made in the          forthcoming Railway Union Budget           2016-17.

I have taken up various issues regarding the development works to be speed-ed up in Jalandhar City like issues of Fly over and clearance of Railway Under Bridge or Railway Over Bridge which are creating hindrances to the traffic , Releasing of Additional Funds for Development works for providing of basic civic amenities for different areas of the city for those rural areas which have been brought within the limits of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar City are still awaiting development with Union Minister's and Party High Command . I will soon be writing on the wall of my Face Book , Twitter and Blog regarding discussion on various issues.

Pakistan has become epicenter of Terrorism, Being its neighbors India has been facing the tremors of Terrorism for the last 45 Years. The rest of the World understood when the developed countries faced the brunt of terrorism be it 9/11 in United States of America, Serial Blasts in England or massacre in Paris, France killings of hundreds of innocent people, Almost all the countries of World condemned these incidents but the same response from the Developed Countries is missing in case of India who is fighting against the Proxy was of Terrorism from Pakistan be it in Dina Nagar Incident or Pathankot. United States of America must think of having an Economic Blockade against Pakistan who is aiding and abetting terrorism as America needs no evidence against Pakistan because Osama Bin Laden the master mind of 9/11 incident was found in Pakistan.

When 9/11 was held, every country throughout the global including India condemned the Terrorist Attack on America. America toiled its sweat to find out the master mind behind 9/11 Attack. Osama Bin Laden was found after many years of search by America in Pakistan and America annihilated Osama Bin Laden in Abbottbad in Pakistan .The Terrorist who waged a proxy war against India at Pathankot came from the same Pakistan. It is not incumbent upon America to reciprocate the condemnation?
