EMERGENCY WAS IMPOSED IN INDIA ON 25 TH JUNE 1975

25 June 1975 Midnight Emergency was announced and the Fundamental Rights were freezed and M.I.S.A. (Maintenance of Internal Security Act) was implemented by the then President of India. Thousands of Political Leaders were arrested and were sent to Jail. My Father Late Sh Manmohan Kalia Former Minister Punjab was holding key posts in Bharatiya Jan Sangh was arrested at 4 A.M. as the Police knocked the door and jumped from Six Feet Boundary Wall of our house and entered into our Porch where we were sleeping arrested my Father within hours of implementation of emergency . My Mother Late Kadambri Kalia was shocked with the arrest of my father but due to her strong will power she kept on running the family with high spirits, as I was studying in the College my both Sisters Nandani and Mohini were in School at the time Emergency was implemented. Many Friends of my Father used to visit our house to boost and strengthen our will power, as we were not sure when my father will be released. Along with my Father many Senior Akali Leaders of Punjab S Parkash Singh Badal now Chief Minister Punjab, Late S Jagdev Singh Talwandi, Late S Gurcharan Singh Tohra were also arrested , my father learned Punjabi in Ferozepur Jail. My father was released from Ferozepur Jail on 26 Th Jan 1977. Really those memories of those Dark Days of Emergency have memories of terror in my mind and my sisters, I even remember that Punjab Senior B.J.P. Leaders Late Dr Baldev Parkash, Late Babu Hit Abhilashi , Late Thakur Ganpat Rai , Late D.D. Jyoti , Late Lal Chand Sabharwal , Late Vaid Om Parkash Dutt , Late Amar Nath Dogra , Late Babu Jagdish Narain , Late Rajiender Sain Chabra ,Late  Vaid Hans Raj ,Mr Krishan Lal Dhall , Mr Suriender Nath Murgai , and other number of Leaders who were jailed during emergency .

I myself will be performing Yoga in the State Level Yoga Function in Chandigarh. I request all my Friends, Brothers and Sisters to come forward and celebrate the international Yoga Day on June 21 with great pomp and show as Yoga keeps us perfect, fit, healthy, wise and active. Yoga is a technique of exercises and a great discipline exercises and is a great knowledge of ancient India. Yoga is made more acceptable system for the people to practice... It is matter of pride that the UN celebrates Yoga Day and about 196 countries follow it on June 21. As Prime Minister Mr. Narendera Bhai Modi has started awareness in regard to the Yoga last Year and he himself performed Yoga which is yielding positive results throughout the Global. Yesterday a deputation of B.J.P. Leaders met me at my residence and they apprised me of installation of Water Coolers at Jalandhar City , Jalandhar Cantt , Phagwara Railway Stations . As they said that the Social Organizations have been debarred from serving Drinking water to the Rail Passengers by the Divisional Railway Manager , Ferozepur . The members of the Deputation demanded that when the Indian Railways will install Water Coolers and Water ATM'S at various Railway Stations ? I was shocked that the Social Organization who are working for the sake of humanity and providing Water and quenching the thirst of the Railway Passengers in the scorching heat have been banned .It is really unfortunate because until and unless Railway ensures round the clock Water in the Drinking Water Taps and installation of Water Coolers , the D.R.M should review his decision and take sympathetic view in public Interest Those present were B.J.P. Senior Leader and Former State Convener B.J.P. Media Cell Punjab Rajat Mohindru , B.J.P. PRIME MINISTER NARENDER BHAI MODI ADDRESSES HISTORIC JOINT SESSION OF CONGRESS IN US      Prime Minister of India Mr Narender Bhai Modi while addressing the joint session of the Congress in U.S. has given a clear future vision of India’s  foreign policy that India was against Terror and Militancy and had one point of view  curbing menace of Terror , Militancy . "WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY " I PLANTED SAPLING AT LATE MANMOHAN KALIA PARK . I today planted sampling on the eve of WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY at Late Manmohan Kalia Park , Central Town , Jalandhar .Accompanied by Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jalandhar Mr. Rajiv Verma , Dr Sri Krishan Health Officer Municipal Corporation Jalandhar , D.F.S.O. Mr. Neelkant Sharma , B.J.P. Leaders Mr. Anil Sacher , Jawahar Sood , Dimpy Sachdeva , Titu Kampania , Ashish Chopra , Ram Lubhaya Kapur , Rajat Mohindru and others were present .After planting sapling I said that we all should come forward to plant one sapling , nurse it and let it become a Tree to keep Ecological Balance in coming Years keeping in mind GLOBAL WARMING . I said that Planting a sapling means making the Environment intact in coming future and further said that a awareness drive of plantation new sapling will be carried out in schools and among the masses and in Central Constituency .

Yesterday representations of Himachal Jan Kalyan Sabha ( Regd ), Himachal Janhit sabha , Himachal Welfare Sabha visited my residence and apprised me that they were , they are and they will in future stand by Bharatiya Janata Party and me .
