Declaration of EKTA SATHAL - The memorial of Dr. Shayama Parshad Mukherjee as National Monument and Carving out of under-Pass on the National Highway Road from Pathankot to Jammu near the EKTA SATHAL.  I have sent letter to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendera Modi through E Mail. In the letter I have written that Your Good self must be remembering that after the declaration of Prime Ministerial Candidate in Goa B.J.P. National Executive, Your good self started the Election Campaign on 23rd June 2013  by paying respects to Dr. Shayama Parshad Mukherjee at Ekta- Sathal, Madopur, Punjab. While addressing a public rally on 23rd June 2005 the Martyrdom day of Dr. Shayama Parshad Mukherjee who laid down his life for the Unity and Integrity of India, Sh Lal Krishan Advani expressed his desire to build a monument in his memory near Madopur  Bridge from where Dr. Mukherjee crossed the Bridge without permit to enter Jammu & Kashmir on 11th May 1953 and martyred on 23rd June 1953 under mysterious circumstances. When in 2007 Alkali-BJP alliance came to power, I as the Leader of the B.J.P. Legislature Group expressed the desire of Sh L.K. Advani to Chief Minister Punjab S Parkash Singh Badal to build a monument in the memory of Great Martyr. Chief Minister Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal readily accepted my suggestion and deputed me as Local Government and Industries Minister Punjab to execute the monument into realization.  The Statute of Dr. Shayama Parshad Mukherjee is 18 Feet in height and has been placed on the 10 Feet pedestal. The said monument named as  “EKTA SATHAL" was inaugurated on March 20, 2010 by respected Sh. Mohan Bhagwat Ji, Sar Sangh Sanchalak, R.S.S., Sh L.K. Advani Former Deputy Prime Minister of India, Sh. Nitin Gadkari the then National President B.J.P. .Thus Ekta –Sathal is a symbol of Unity and Integrity of India and has a National Importance. It is therefore requested that the Ekta –Sathal should be declared National Monument. It is further requested that the underpass may kindly be ordered to be carved out near Ekta-Sathal on the National Highway going for Pathankot to Jammu. The copies of the letter have been forwarded to  Mr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji Sar Sangh Sanchalak R.S.S. , Mr. L.K. Advani Former Deputy Prime Minister of India and Mr. Nitin Gadkari Hon’ble Union Minister  through E Mail  .
