Sub: -  Request to make estimates and Release of Funds to clear various problems concerning towards Jalandhar City Railway Station and Railway Colony and Jalandhar Cantt Railway Station and Railway Colony .

Earlier in January 2015 Ministry of Railways had asked the Masses throughout India to forward proposals for the Union Railway Budget 2015-2016, as I had already earlier forwarded the following proposals for your active consideration please. I am once again forwarding in public Interest .

1.         JALANDHAR CITY RAILWAY STATION AND RAILWAY COLONY JALANDHAR CITY

(a)        The need of time is to get Reconstruction of bitumen metalled roads in Railway Colony No. 1, 2 & 3 in Jalandhar City.

(B)       Additional Street Lights points in Railway Colony No. 1, 2 & 3 be installed as per the requirement.

(c)        CFL / LED power saver Street lights be replaced with the old streets lights of Sodium Bulbs.

(d)       The open drain adjacent to Mohalla Gobindgarh Jalandhar, in the premises of Railway         Station             Jalandhar should be replaced with under-ground sewerage       system.

(f)        24 Hours RO drinking water be available on all the Plat Form No 1, 2, 3 for the Passengers.

(g)        Opening of more ticket booking reservation counters keeping in view the heavy rush of Passengers on the other side adjoining Bashirpura along with Car and Scooter parking...

(h)       Restart of Jalandhar City- Katra and Katra- Jalandhar City Fast Passenger Train ( Daily ) for the convenience of Common Man , Daily Passengers ,Pilgrims in Public Interest .

(i)        Introduction of New Superfast Train between Amritsar- Mumbai (Daily)

(j)        Construction of Urinals / Toilets at Platform Number 2/3.

2.         JALANDHAR CANTT RAILWAY STATION AND RAILWAY COLONY JALANDHAR CANTT

(a)        Reconstruction of bitumen metals roads in Railway Colony in Jalandhar Cantt.

(B)       Additional Street Lights points in Railway Colony be increased as per the requirement.

(c)        CFL / LED power saver Street lights be replaced with the old streets lights.

(d)       Plat Form No. 2 and 3 need immediate attention for extending the shed for the         passengers to keep them safe from Sun light. Cold , Scorching Heat during Summer     and rain.

(e)        Construction of Boundary wall adjoining Plat Form No. 3 for safety and security of the Passengers.

(f)        Reconstruction of Base Kitchen functioning 7 X 24 hours preparing Hygienic Food for Railway             Passengers boarding trains from this stations.

(g)        Reconstruction of waiting Halls and Waiting Rooms for the passengers who wait for boarding             long     distance train.

(h)       Expansion of more railway ticket reservation booking window.

(I)         24 Hours RO drinking water be available on Platform No 1 and 2/3 for the Passengers.

(J)       Running of EMU between Phagwara – Jalandhar Cantt- Jalandhar City – Kartarpur up and down after every One Hour.

(K)       Opening of New Current Ticket Window and Reservation Counters on the opposite side of Railway Station Rama Mandi side for the convenience of the Passengers coming from Hoshiarpur Side .

(l)      Construction of Urinal/Toilets on Platform No 2/3 .

                      It is requested that the proposals dispatched to your office be brought under active consideration keeping in mind public Interest and the proposals be forwarded to the concerned departments for necessary action please. It is requested to allocate adequate funds for the clearance of the above said proposals.
