Sh. Manoranjan Kalia Former State President  BJP Punjab and Former Minister Punjab in a Press Statement said that the very first "Kejriwal's Guaranty" has not been fulfilled in Toto what was promised by AAP Supremo, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal Chief Minister Delhi. It is pertinent to note that on 29-06-2021 in a Press Conference at Chandigarh and thereafter a written corrigendum   issued,  AAP Supremo Sh. Arvind Kejriwal announced that there would be 300 units of free power  per house per month to all the residents of Punjab on coming to power. At the time of implementation of  Kejriwal's First Guaranty, the free power in Punjab was announced on 16-04-2022 with a rider that if a House hold consume more than 600 units in 2 months, it would have to pay the full bill barring SC, OBC, BPL Families and Freedom Fighter who would have to pay in excess of units consumed, having up to 2 kilowatt Electricity connection,  if they consumed more than the 600 units of free power. The said announcement will be implemented from July 1st  and not from time of coming of Aam Adami Party into power as promised.

Now S. Harbhajan Singh Power Minister  has reduced the Electricity connection up to 1 K.W.  to be eligible for  the above-mentioned concession. Meaning there by the consumer having more than 1 K.W. connection belonging to SC, BC, OBC and Freedom Fighters will have to pay for 600 units of free power if his consumption is more than 600 units per house for 2 months.

Sh. Kalia further said AAP Government headed by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann is flip-flopping in implementing the very first Kejriwal's Guaranty of free power. It also shows that AAP Government thinks after making announcements and thinks again to change the already made announcements.

 

After making announcements by Chief Minister, how can a Minister over-ride  decision made by Chief Minister?.  It raises a question mark about  the control of the  Chief Minister over his Ministers. The top functionaries expressed ignorance about the announcement made by power Minister. It means Chief Minister has no control over his Ministers and Minister does not have control over the bureaucrats  Thus, the faith which people of Punjab have reposed stands belied.  

If riders are to put at time of implementation of the Kejriwal's  guaranty why were it not disclosed at the time when Sh. Arvind Kejriwal announced the concessions ?   Thus, the faith which people of Punjab have reposed in AAP stands belied and people felt slighted.
