Sh. Manoranjan Kalia Former Minister Punjab in a Press Statement said that Shri Harmandir Sahib is a religious place belonging to all where Sikhs and Hindus both bow their heads with reverence. This tradition is of ages old. The tradition  of making eldest son a Sikh is still continuing in many Hindu families even today. It is because of this reason that Punjabis  both Hindus and Sikhs have borne the brunt of terrorism jointly for 10 years and rejected the demand of separatism & Khalistan  out-rightly. History bears it out that terrorism lost before the communal harmony in Punjab and Hindus-Sikhs brotherhood has won. The people holding responsible post should not behoove or do  which causes a scratch on the communal harmony  & peace of Punjab. By justifying the demand of Khalistan,  Jathedar of Akal Takhat Gyani Harpreet Singh has injured the feelings of Punjabis which was not expected from a person sitting on a responsible post.

श्री मनोरंजन कालिया पूर्व मंत्री पंजाब ने एक प्रेस विग्यप्ति में कहा कि श्री हरिमंदिर साहिब सभी का साँझा धार्मिक स्थल  है यहाँ सिख व्  हिन्दू श्रद्धा के साथ सिर  निवाज़ते है और मन्नते मांगते है I यह परम्परा सदियों से चली आ रही है I  कई हिन्दू घरों में बड़े बेटे को सिख सजाने कि परम्परा आज भी कायम है I   यही कारण है कि 10  साल का  आतंकवाद पंजाबियों ने इकठे झेला व् कुर्बानिया दी  परन्तु हिन्दू सिख भाईचारे पर आंच नहीं आने दी और अलगवाद व्  खालिस्तान  की मांग को सिरे से पंजाबियों ने नकार  दिया I  इतिहास साक्षी है पंजाबियों के भाईचारे के सामने   आतंकवाद हारा और हिन्दू-सिख  भाईचारा जीता ]  जुम्मेवार पदों पर बैठे हुए व्यक्तियों को ऐसी कोई  बात नहीं करनी या कहनी चहिये जिससे पंजाब  की अमन शांति भाईचारे को आंच आये I  अकालतख्त के जथेदार ज्ञानी  हरप्रीत सिंह ने खालिस्तान की मांग को जायज़  ठहरा कर   पंजाबियों की भावनाओ को ठेस पहुंचाई है जिसकी अपेक्षा उनसे नहीं की   जाती I
