Improvement Trust Jalandhar has proposed to set up a Senior Citizen's Home at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Avenue Jalandhar  . The Senior Citizen Home is a Western Concept where Parents stop grooming their progeny at the Age of Sixteen and the children are asked to earn their livelihood for their own up bringing . It is likely the children in the West when they grew up don't bother for their parents . Thus there was no body to look after the Parents in the West in the Old Age and "Old Age Home"  is the only Answer but in India Parents support their Children in thick and thin , the Indian parents invest everything including their savings in making the life of their children comfortable so the Children in India also responds to their parents by looking after in their old age . There are a few exceptions where the children don't care the Parents . Every concept of the West may not be suitable to the Indian Culture and should not be adopted without applying the mind . The concept of Old Age Home will be successful only if the children stop looking after their parents in their old age .
