I presented the draft Political resolution of the working committee meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab on 01-07-2016.
The working Committee meeting of Bharatiya Janata Pary Punjab is held on July 1st, 2016 under the stewardship of Sh. Vijay Sampla President BJP Punjab & Union State Minister.
The working Committee meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab applauds the successful completion of two years of N.D.A. Govt. at the center as well as nine & half years of Akali - BJP Govt. During the 2 years of Modi Govt., India with GDP 7. 5 % has become fastest growing country in the world. The clearing of desks for the implementation of G.S.T. and pushing the pace of reforms in the field of Defence, Pharmaceutical, Food and retail to attract FDI will further enhance the growth of the country in the years to come. The world has started recognizing India at International level. The inclusion of India as 35th member of MTCR (Missile Technology Control Regime) and the support of 40 countries out of 48 members of NSG (Nuclear Supplier Group) bear it out. The sole credit goes to Prime Minister SH. Narinder Modi whose diplomatic efforts have started bearing fruits.
The Punjab has never had level of affection which it has got presently from the NDA Govt. The grant of institutions of international repute to Punjab like AIMS, IIM are a case in a point. More than Rs. 20,000 crores are being spent by the central Govt. on the infrastructure in Punjab. During Nine & half year of Akali- BJP Govt. there has been uninterrupted Power supply and significant improvement of the Infrastructure of Punjab. The people of Punjab have not forgotten the power cuts which they had to face during the Congress regime 2002-2007. The then Captain Amrinder Singh Govt. issued a notification banning the switching on of Air Conditioner during summer season. The condition of roads in Punjab then were so bad that the then Congress Govt. could only do the patch work on roads which was admitted by the leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha. It is worth mentioning that in the current financial year, Rs. 3500 crores is being spent upon the urban infrastructure i.e. sewerage, water supply, roads etc. and Rs. 2000 crore is being spent upon the rural infrastructure. The Bharatya Janata Party Punjab appreciates the achievements of Akali-BJP Govt. under the Leadership of S. Parkash Singh Badal Chief Minister Punjab in the fields of Power and infrastructure.
The declaration by Captain Amrinder Singh to continue Shagan Scheme, Pension Scheme and free electricity to the farmers and Schedule castes is a tacit appreciation of the working of Akali-BJP Govt. It is pertinent to note that Captain Amrinder Singh had made such types of promises during 2002 Assembly Elections, but did converse of it after coming to power i.e. charged electricity bills to the farmers, shagun scheme and pension scheme were stopped. Thus people of Punjab have no faith upon Congress in Punjab like that of in the whole of India where now Congress rule has shrunk to 6 % of Indian population whereas BJP Governments in states cover 45 % of the population of India.
Aam Adami Party in Punjab is a congregation of political junk of Congress party and of those who have roots in the Khalistan movements. The duel stand of Aam Adami Party in SYL issue has exposed its double standards. Thus AAP cannot protect the interests of

Punjab. The Aam Adami Party in Punjab has failed to put up a united face and its leadership is fighting among themselves. The Govt. of Aam Adami Party in Delhi has miserably failed to perform. There has been power cuts and intermittent shortage of water supply in Delhi. The decision of the Delhi Govt. to open Liquor vends exclusively for women will encourage addiction and falsify the claim of Aam Adami Party in Punjab to fight Drug problem. The Chief Minister of Delhi Sh. Arvind Kejriwal instead of showing results has indulged in blame game with the central Govt. Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab demands a probe from CBI in regard to disclosure of inflow of funds from the supporters of Khalistan to AAP by Captain Amrinder Singh. People of Punjab have not forgotten the time when Captain Amrinder Singh addressed in Dicksy Gurudwara in Canada on the stage having written "Khalistan" on the background. There is a every possibility that the so called supporters of Khalistan might have shifted funding to AAP in Punjab which might have been earlier source of funds for Captain Amrinder Singh.
Drugs have become a serious issue. There is no country in the world where menace of drugs in not there. Every state in India is facing the drug problem. So far as Punjab is concerned, there is neither legalized cultivation of Opium nor any pharmaceutical industry manufacturing a salt being used in making Synthetic Drug. Even then the menace of drug have been eating vitals of Punjab since independence or even before that. Instead of indulging in blame game, drug problem needs serious consideration. The political parties in Punjab have blown the drug problem out of proportions so much so that the land of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Raj Guru, Lala Lajpat Rai and others is being defamed for parochial political interests. has Zero tolerance attitude towards it. The smuggling of drugs across the border from Pakistan needs to be checked. The decision of Modi Govt. to have surveillance of borders through Drones will help to a great extent in checking the smuggling of drugs in near future. The states cultivating opium must plug the loop-holes of the pilferage. Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab appeals to the central Govt. to ban the manufacturing of pseudoephedrine salt which is being used to manufacture synthetic drug, as there are other salt available in the market which have better spectrum of anti-allergy than that of pseudoephedrine.
The people of Punjab are intelligent enough to know that the fruits of higher growth rate will start percolating from the third year onwards. The Governments of same feather at center as well as in Punjab can set the pace of development at faster mode in states. The Bharatiya Janata Party Calls upon its workers to gird up their lions to leave no stone unturned to form Akali-BJP Govt. for the third consecutive term.
