Captain Amarinder Singh ji,

I have gone through your Article published in Hindustan Times today in which you have claimed to have implemented 75% promises made during Punjab Assembly Elections 2017 and have taken credit for the 70% recovery rate of COVID -19. You have   patted your own back without specifically mentioning the promises which you claimed to have implemented  but only mentioning the numbers that out of total 562 promises made during 2017 Assembly Elections, 328 promises stands fully implemented and 97 partially. It would have better to have mentioned  specifically  the promises kept by your Government. This technique gives enough room to placate.

The claim of maximum investment in Health, Education, Security, Law & order, Drugs, Agriculture, Industry, employment and governance sans figures. May I remind you that you had promised to eradicate the menace of Drugs within four weeks of coming into power by taking oath having "Gutka Sahib" in hand. After three & a half years of Congress rule, what to talk of eradicating the menace of drugs, illegal distilleries have come up causing a loss of revenue of more than 5,600 crores.

During Assembly Elections 2017, a promise of complete debt waiver was made to farmer which comes out Rs. 90,000 crore and out of it Rs. 4,700 crore stands waived up till now as claimed by you, but still you claimed to have fulfilled your promise to 80% of farmers.

You have promised to give employment to 5 lac youth each year after coming to power. By that count, it comes out 17 lac 50,000 jobs to the youth. Your claim of employment to 13.42 lac youth itself shows that your Government has  failed to meet the target. The said claim of employment includes Campus Placement which is a routine affair of Professional Colleges. The Youth feel cheated by the slogan of  Congress "Ghar Ghar Rozgar".

The claim of Industry friendly initiatives mentions about the investment proposals of Rs. 57,735 crore. But  how many of them  realized  on ground has not been mentioned by you.

The wordly-duel between the then Chief Secretary & Ministers and sit-in by  the Government employees for getting their salaries time to time speak volumes about the governance of Captain Amarinder Singh Government.  The short-listing of Chinese  Smart Phones during three & a half years of Congress rule shows the pace of governance of Congress Government.   If  there is  increase of 20% in the State's GDP during Congress regime  as compared to Akali-BJP regime, why there is delay in the payment of Post Metric Scholarship, Pension Scheme, Shagun Scheme.  

The credit for 70% COVID recovery rate does not go to your Government but to the better immune system of the COVID affected person  as vaccine for treatment is yet to come

What to talk of people of Punjab, MLAs and Members of  Parliament of Congress Party are not satisfied with your governance and have been raising the voice against your Government time to time.

It does not behoove good for the Chief Minister to smoke screen the reality and beat about the bush as has been done in this article. People cannot be hoodwinked with false claims-----Yeh Public Hai--Sab Jaanti Hai.
