PRESS NOTE
Jalandhar City 24 th Jan 2019 Former State President & Former
Minister Punjab Mr Manoranjan Kalia said in a Press statement that the reported
proposal of Pakistan to allow only Sikh Pilgrims inside the historic Sri
Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara has exposed Machiavellian designs of Pakistan of
creating a divide between the devotees of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji . When the tenth Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji
formed the Khalsa Panth to fight against Mughals , It has been a practice thereafter in every
Hindu Family to make its eldest son to
be a Sikh . Thus all the ten Gurus are revered by Sikhs as well as Hindus . Both
Hindus and Sikhs celebrate the days of All the ten Gurus with great enthusiasm
in India as well as abroad. Thus the ties of Hindus and Sikhs are intertwined
in such a way to make it inseparable.
It
is pertinent to note that Sindhi Hindu Families whether living in Pakistan or
in India revere only Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji as their Isht. What about the
descendants of Bhai Bala and Bhai Mardana, the disciples of Shri Guru Nanak Dev
Ji, will they be not allowed to pay obeisance
at Shri Kartarpur Sahib. When Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited different places of the world, the
native people
started revering Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with different names
in India- Guru Nanak Dev Ji, In Sri Lanka- Nanakcharia, In Tibet- Nanak Lama,
In Sikkim & Bhutan- Guru Rimpochia, In Mecca- Wali Rind, In Russia- Nanak
Kadamdar, In Iraq- Baba Nanak,
In Nepal- Nanak Rishi, In Bagdad- Nanak Peer,
In Missr- Nanak Wali and In China - Baba Fussa. Thus the reverence of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji transcends the
boundaries of the Countries.
Sh.
Kalia further said how Pakistan would have felt if only Hindus and Sikhs from
Pakistan are allowed to visit their shrines and Muslims are refrained from
visiting Ajmer Shariff ?
Mr. Kalia appealed
to the Prime Minister of India Mr Narendera Modi and Union External Affairs
Minister Smt Sushma Swaraj to take up the matter with the Pakistan Counterpart
and the entry of Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor must be open for all Devotees ,
for Sikhs as well as Hindus whosoever want to pay their
obeisance at Gurudwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib on the occasion of celebrations of
550 th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji .
