Manoranjan Kalia Former Minister Punjab said in a press statement that Captain
Amrinder Singh Government has made the report of justice Ranjit Singh (Retired)
Commission as political arena to settle the scores against Shiromani Akali Dal.
When the Zora Singh Commission set up by
the Akali-BJP Government has already given report on the sacrilege
incident, there was no need to appoint another Commission and the Congress
Govt. should have accepted the report of Zora Singh Commission. Where the
things will go if another Commission is appointed on the same issue rejecting
the report of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission with the change of the Govt.
after 2022 elections ?

Kalia further said that Justice Ranjit Singh Commission indicted Former Chief
Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal and Former Deputy C.M. S. Sukhbir Singh Badal
on the basis of a phone call from the then D.G.P. S. Sumedh Singh Saini to the then Chief
Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal at 2.00 AM October 2015. If the mere proof of a
phone call can become basis of indictment of
S. Parkash Singh Badal and S. Sukhbir Singh Badal, the video clipping
showing the Baljit Singh Daduwal's vehicle, entering the residence of Chief
Minister Captain Amrinder Singh on 26-08-2018,
is sufficient proof of hobnobbing of Captain Amrinder Singh with Daduwal
against Badals. Mere denial by Captain Amrinder Singh will not be suffice.

Kalia advised Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh that instead of politicalising
the issue, the Congress Govt. must think seriously about the ways and means to
stop reoccurring of such incident in future. Otherwise it will lower the Police morale also.
