Punjab Government under the Chief Minister Capt Amriender Singh Governance in Punjab seems to be sidelining their Pre-Poll promises made by the people of Punjab during the Punjab Assembly Elections 2017 . As one of the main Point was Service to one unemployed member of a Family . As the Punjab Government has announced shut down / closure of Four units of Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant in Bathinda and two of the six units of Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Plant in Ropar. from January 1, 2018. As it is an unfortunate that the Punjab Government has ordered for the closure of these plants citing a baseless reason from 1 st January 2018 . As in the past Rs. 715 crore has been spent on Repair and Maintenance and Life extension of Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant Bathinda . The Punjab Government should review its decision so that number of Employed may not have to suffer in coming Days and become unemployed .
