Crop diversification is also one of the Tools to check the sharply declining of Underground Water Table Level in Punjab . The Cultivators in Punjab should be educated to shun all those Yields which requires more Water . As Punjab Agriculture University Scientists should create atmosphere of educating the Farmers that Which crops can give more Yield to the Cultivators and consume Less Water . The Infrastructure Development in Punjab is at its Peak , the Two Lane National Highways are being converted to Four Lanes and Similarly Four Lanes to Six Lanes . Keeping in view the Infrastructure Development Thousands of Tress have been Axed . Punjab Forest Department should take a scheme under MANREGA to plant new Sapling and to nurse it so that the Green Belts along with the National Highways be developed which can solve two problems one to provide direct shelter from the scorching heat of Sunlight on the Highways and provide Tress provide shadow to the travelers another plus point it will keep the environment intact and ecological balance due to the emission of the Vehicles .
