Day before Yesterday , A Deputation led by B.J.P. Leaders from Central Mandal No 5 apprised me of the Electricity Poles on the side of Nehru Garden Road from General Post Office to Railway Station . The deputation said that if the Electricity Poles are shifted to the corner of the Road and the Pedestrian Foot Paths are removed and converted to the Road , the Road will be widened . The Electric Wire should be made underground or the same Poles be shifted to the Corner of the Road . I clearly told them that When I was Minister for Local Bodies , Industries and Commerce , I had allocated Funds for the shifting of these Poles . I will inquire from the Municipal Corporation and the P.S.P.C.L. that What hurdles have not allowed the shifting of the Electricity Poles in Public interest . The deputation demanded that New Street Lights be replaced to new LED Street Lights keeping in mind the Road as Gateway to Jalandhar City . I assured them to take necessary action on the genuine demands that the deputation has made . Those present were B.J.P. Central Mandal No 5 President Mr Vijay Kalia , B.J.P. Senior Leader Mr Anil Sacher , Mr Chaman Lal Sharma , Mr Gourav Aggarwal , Rajat Mohindru , Jawahar Sood , Pawan Kapoor , Mr Ashish Chopra and others were present .
