Good Morning Friends .

Raika Bagh Station and Train Model
Railways were introduced in India in 1853 and in Marwar in 1882. This exquisite model of the Railway Station and Train are carved out of ivory and symbolize Raika Bagh, the first Railway Station of Jodhpur.
Pali and Merta were the cities of Marwar where most of the ivory work was done. There were also craftsmen who were making toys for the royal children of Marwar and other states. The Silver baggi, ivory car and Jeep are a few examples of the finesse of art prevalent in the 19th century Marwar.
